That much is apparent from how long it's been since I've done one of these. Hello to anyone who still watches my stuff, I've been busy over the last couple of months with lots and lots of college. For any who have experienced college, you know what I'm talking about. Finals are like vampires, they suck the life right out of you.
So, for any of you who followed The Odd Ones Out, I'm sorry to tell you that I have put the whole story on permanent hold. Despite how much time and effort I had put into it, I had slowly begun to loath and despise the story over the last few years. I started it at the end of my freshman year of high school, when I was still filled with teenage angst and looking for a coping mechanism for my grief over my Uncle Arthur's passing. That, and I was right in the middle of my obsession with Mass Effect at the time. To say my writing skills were in their infancy at the time is an understatement. To be frank, I had no fucking idea what I was doing at the time. I made no synopsis, the early 20+ chapters were clunky and cringe-worthy, and the entire story was essentially me and a couple of my friends tagging along with Commander Shepard. It was lazy and (frankly) unoriginal. The only time anything interesting ever happened in the story was when I was in that midpoint between different games. I was also lazy for just throwing in things from other game franchises, so much in fact that I could have classified the whole thing as a crossover.
I moved on from The Odd Ones Out. I tried to start a new one about my old quarian OC Evela, but it never really took off due to a lack of interesting story ideas.
I decided to relocate to a new FF account, TacoWrath, to start Mass Effect: Murphy's Law.
Murphy's Law is a heavily science-centered fanfic about two friends who are involved in a experiment gone wrong that sends them to the future. Once there, they'll world alongside other great minds in an attempt to create game-changing tech for the Alliance. It's progressing smoothly, I've built a whole plot synopsis to keep the main story-line on track, I've narrowed down what kind of tech will be popping up in it, and I've been told that my character development is progressing very well. It is what I will be focusing on until further notice, and I suggest you check it out. It can be found here
As far as art goes, It'll be sporadic at best. I don't really focus on it that much anymore. Have a good day!
